Get to know me.

I currently work with Historic Environment Scotland as the Assistant Visitor Events Manager. Here I assist the Visitor Events Manager in the creative development and delivery of an annual national programme of visitor events. My role includes leading and project managing a number of events within this programme, from content creation to ensuring their safe and successful delivery. I also lead on the partnership events and our Living History Programme.

Prior to this I was a Engagement Officer at the National Museums Scotland, my role involved developing and delivering formal and informal learning programmes for a range of audiences (schools, families, adults).

However, I began my career working on the events programme of the Galloway Hoard with Kirkcudbright Galleries, in partnership with National Museums Scotland.
Prior to this, I completed my postgraduate Masters in Heritage and Exhibition Design at Edinburgh Napier University. I created interpretation designs and proposals which related to my interests of hidden histories and feminism. I worked with industry professionals, academics and local people to make sure that my designs were relevant and engaging.
I have also studied at the University of Edinburgh where I earned an MA (Hons) Architecture. I created my own designs while also studying architectural history, developing my knowledge of architecture both inside and outside of the UK. While studying, I worked for a semester in Canada, in an architectural and interior design office and worked on a variety of community buildings.
I have also worked in a museum assisting with wayfinding and signage, and PLB Ltd where I produced exhibition designs for museums within the UK.
