Hasten Slowly at the Lion's Gate

The Lions Gate Garden will be the home to an educational permaculture audio tour during their fringe event. The tour invites visitors to connect with the garden, as an individual before learning more about the permaculture principles, and how they could weave them into their own life.
Visitors will be invited to engage one of their senses with the garden, to connect with nature using a short mindfulness practice before learning more about a key permaculture principle. As the visitor observes the garden in a new way, it is hoped that they will connect to the garden, before using technology to deepen their understanding of sustainable routines.

This was a live project which happened during the Edinburgh Fringe 2021. It was part of wider festival on the site also ran by members of the University and the Lion's Gate Community.
I asked volounteers at the Lions Gate to record the audio tour - making it feel embedded in the community there.
