Post-graduate Work

During my Heritage and Exhibition Design Masters at Edinburgh Napier University, I created several interpretation proposals for Edinburgh - whether it was within the University or a castle, you can find out more about those projects.

Contrary Mary

Major Project

This proposal makes statements about misogynistic media, the abuse of women and dangerous stereotypes as well as educating visitors about Mary Queen of Scots and the Craigmillar Bond.

Witchcraft Trail Proposal

When you think of witchcraft, you may think of pointy hats and Halloween. Maybe, you think of Salem... However, Scotland murdered “witches” on a different scale. Over 3000 people were accused of witchcraft and two thirds of them were executed. These women and men have not been pardoned, there has been no public apology.

This is a trail unlike any other, this is a trail about social justice.

12 Closes Exhibition Proposal

Welcome to Edinburgh’s Closes of the past. In the past centuries, you would never know what could be lurking round the corner, or behind a door. We invite you to travel through time, visiting some of the closes of the Royal mile. The closes aren’t as safe as they are now – thanks to the 12 Closes Project – so keep your eyes peeled and your wits about you.

Lions Gate

The Lions Gate Garden will be the home to an educational permaculture audio tour during their fringe event. The tour invites visitors to connect with the garden, as an individual before learning more about the permaculture principles, and how they could weave them into their own life. Visitors will be invited to engage one of their senses with the garden, to connect with nature using a short mindfulness practice before learning more about a key permaculture principle.
